Our experts provide project management services in all phases of development/investment projects, including project identification and development, engineering studies, feasibility studies, tender preparation and evaluation, negotiation and contracting, and implementation and monitoring. Depending on the project owner's needs, we can also provide support services such as local representation and troubleshooting.
Our Services
By utilising our expertise in diverse areas, we offer all necessary services at any stage of a project, from strategic planning to operation, as shown below:
International
LRI has supported and implemented projects in Europe, North America, the Middle East, the CIS and East Asia.
Experienced Staff
In carrying out a project, we form a project team by mobilising our own staff and appropriate associate specialists. Co-ordinating all the activities of the project team, we implement the project on the client's behalf. LRI senior staff members have substantial experience in managing large development projects, in particular, in the energy, construction and IT sectors.
1. Rabigh Conversion Industrial Park, Saudi Arabia
Working jointly with an engineering consulting firm, we implemented an international marketing plan for a 240 hectare industrial park designed to accommodate conversion industries, adjacent to a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia, and sponsored by the Saudi national oil company and one of the largest international chemical companies. Our involvement in the project began with the preparation of a development concept and identification of a market positioning, and continued through to the preparation of a marketing plan for North America and Europe. Our team successfully managed the implementation of the international marketing plan, including undertaking direct marketing in more than 20 countries, organising seminars in three major cities and creating various promotion materials in four languages (Arabic, English, German, and Japanese).
2. Land Acquisition Manual
Land acquisition (and the resettlement of a displaced population) is often a consequence of a large infrastructure development project. Yet many land acquisition projects are considered failures and can lead to the impoverishment of the people affected. This manual describes the risks in each stage of a typical land acquisition process and suggests solutions to bring a successful conclusion for all stakeholders.
3. Tashkent Power Plant Rehabilitation Feasibility Study, Uzbekistan
We participated in a study to assess the feasibility of a proposed project to rehabilitate an existing 1,860 MW gas and oil fired power station in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. We reviewed the prevailing market prices of gas as fuel for the plant in the neighbouring countries and estimated the true economic value of the gas. We also proposed cost-based electricity tariffs as part of the financial and economic analysis of the project.
4. Civil Aviation Infrastructure Improvement Feasibility Study, Paraguay
We analysed, from financial and economic perspectives, a proposed capital investment plan to improve civil aviation safety in Paraguay, by installing radar and other equipment at Asuncion International Airport and other locations. As part of the study, we predicted civil aviation demand under various scenarios. We also undertook pricing analysis for services offered to flight operators and passengers, reviewing prevailing relevant charges in the region.
