New Businesses in Postal Industry
One of the objectives of this research was to review all aspects of changing postal service regulations in the UK. UK practice can be applied to other countries. In a timetabled introduction to competition, 10 new licenses were granted. This was followed by substantial inter-operator contracting with the Royal Mail. New entrants now provide integrated postal services from collection through to delivery.
Regulations on Organic Livestock Products
The main objective of this research was to examine government regulations and certification of organic livestock products in selected OECD countries, including the UK, the USA, Germany, France and Australia. The UK has 15 certification bodies, and across Europe extensive public information on organic products is widely available. The organic market share in the USA is substantially smaller and there is less public information available.
